This wide Ruby ring has the greatest feel on my hand. It is a size 8; 15 mm wide on the top and tapers to 9mm on the backside.  Sterling silver and 14kt yellow gold. Hand engraved and stunning, the 14kt gold star makes a beautiful frame for the 3mm genuine ruby. It has a slim fit between the fingers and a low profile which is appealing to the equestrian client. 
I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 on a narrower ring, the extra width makes this a perfect fit.
